South Central Oklahoma Parks and Resorts

Shimmering waterfalls, old mountains, blue lakes, and green glades give this region a timeless allure. From the easy sway of a wooden dock to the growl of a power cruiser, you define the pace in Lake Country.  Choose a park in South Central Oklahoma:

 

Boggy Depot - 15 miles from Atoka, Oklahoma  

Chickasaw National Recreation Area Chickasaw National Recreation Area is located on State Highway 177, just south of the town of Sulphur, Oklahoma. The park is approximately 90 miles south of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and 120 miles north of Dallas, Texas. Driving south on US I- 35 take exit 55 to State Highway 7. Driving north on US I-35 take exit 51to State Highway 7. Drive through the towns of Davis (3 miles) and Sulphur (10 miles) to the intersection of Hwy. 7 and 177. Drive south on Hwy. 177. Park Headquarters is 1/4 mile south on the right side of the highway.

Lake Murray Resort Park - Halfway between Oklahoma City and Dallas, two miles east of I-35 at Exit 24, overlooking Lake Murray.



Lake Texoma Resort Park - Halfway between I-35 and US- 75 on US-70, five miles east of Kingston. Equal distance from Oklahoma City and Dallas on Lake Texoma

McGee Creek State Park - Three miles north of Farris, off Highway 7.  Halfway between Tulsa and Dallas. 15 miles from Atoka.  Open year round 24 hours a day. Natural scenic recreation area and wildlife management area. 25 electric/water hookups, primitive sites, restroom/showers, sanitary dump station, picnic areas, boat ramps, fishing pier, swimming beach

The Buster Hight Area has 25 Preferred camping sites (closest to the water) with water/electric and are $15 per night. All others in that area with water/electric are $12 per night.  Prices are subject to change without notification to Shop Oklahoma
