Northeastern Oklahoma State Parks and Resorts

Northeastern Oklahoma is called Green Country.  Rolling hills and lots of lakes and trees. Where the velvety foothills of the Ozarks smooth into golden prairie, the breeze carries the notes of Cherokee flutes and Art Deco palaces built by oil barons rise out of the plain. Wild horses run here and buffalo roam.

Adair State - One-half mile east of Stilwell, on Highway 51.

Arrowhead - Four miles east of Canadian off US-69 on State Park Road (SOLD)

Bernice - Outside the community and town of Bernice, OK on Highway 85A

Disney - Two blocks east of Disney on Highway 28, between the flood gates.

Eucha - Five miles south of Jay, Oklahoma, on Highway SH-10 and US-59


Lake Eufaula State Park and Fountainhead Lodge - Fourteen miles southwest of Checotah, off I-40 and State Highway 150.

Greenleaf - Three miles south of Braggs on SH-10A in eastern Oklahoma.

Heyburn - Twelve and a half miles west of Sapulpa on Highway 33; approximately three and a half miles south on County Road.

Honey Creek - On the shores of Grand Lake 'O The Cherokees, in the city limits of Grove, OK, just off Highway 59. Turn on State Park Road located between the 7 Eleven and Dairy Queen.

Keystone - Ten miles west of Sand Springs on U.S. 412, then one-half mile south on Keystone Dam Road, which is located between U.S. 64 and State Highway 51 in northeastern Oklahoma.

Natural Falls - 3 miles west of Siloam Springs on Scenic US 412

Okmulgee - Five miles west of Okmulgee on Highway 56.

Osage Hills State Park - Five miles north of Pawhuska on State Highway 99, then 10 miles east on U.S. 60.

Sallisaw State Park - Eight miles north of Sallisaw on Highway 17.

Sequoyah State Park - Western Hills On State Highway 51 - 52 miles east of Tulsa, on Ft. Gibson Lake at Sequoyah State Park.

Sequoyah Bay - Five miles south of Wagoner on SH-16

Snowdale - Two miles west of Salina on Highway 20.

Spavinaw - Three-quarters of a mile south of Spavinaw on Highway 20.

Spring River - Six miles east of Miami on Highway 10.

Tenkiller - Ten miles north of the Vian exit on State Highway 82 in eastern Oklahoma.

Twin Bridges - Six miles east of Fairland at the junction of Highway 60 and Highway 137.

Wah-Sha-She - Fifteen miles northwest of Pawhuska on Highway 99, then 10 miles east on Highway 10.

Walnut Creek - Off the Cimarron Turnpike in Sand Springs, 13 miles east of the 209th Street exit.

Western Hills - Sequoyah State Park On State Highway 51 - 52 miles east of Tulsa, on Ft. Gibson Lake at Sequoyah State Park.
