A county and area museum that tells the comprehensive history of Cimarron County. We have info that
includes dinosaurs, Plains Indian, Santa Fe Trail, Dust Bowl, Ranching; and several other interesting items
such as Cox Button Collection, Rhoton Bottle Collection, Rhoton Barbed Wire Collection; a restored 1917
REO Truck, a 1916 Dort Hearse; a 1941 Packard. We are adding an outdoor Windmill exhibit and future
plans include a half dugout. The entrance to our museum is a house designed by Oklahoma architect
Bruce Goff, and we have a new 1600 square foot main museum building. We are open all year, closed for
holidays. We do not charge, but take donations. We are located at 1300 N. Cimarron in Boise City or
HWY 287 north, on the edge of town, look for the giant Aptoasaurus iron sculpture.

This national historic site marks the site of Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer's 1868 early-morning attack on the Southern Cheyenne village of Chief Black Kettle. During the summer, ranger-led talks are available each weekend morning at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 and each afternoon at 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00, beginning and ending at the battlefield overlook on Hwy 47A. Programs may be available weekdays by advance request. Trail guides are available at the Black Kettle Museum in Cheyenne. A 1.5 mile self-guided trail is also available to visitors; proper shoes and clothing is advised. This site is a unit of the National Park Service. Mickey Mantle Memorial Exhibit
Hembree’s exhibit is open daily from 1 P.M. to close Monday through Saturday, and is located at "536"
West Third Street, Suite "7" in the Lakeview Shopping Center next to Cheapo Depo in Grove, Oklahoma. 
Anyone wishing to make a donation of a Mantle item to the exhibit, or wishing to sell items are urged to

Johnny Blanchard, Yankee teammate recently visited Hembree at the exhibit and it brought tears to his
eyes, "That is the reason I do this," Hembree said "Not for a monetary gain but for the good feeling it gives
me for the fans, friends and family to come in and share the Mickey Mantle experience, to share a story,
to relive a favorite time in life when Mickey was at bat." Blanchard said "Terry... Mick' would be so proud
of what you have done to remember him, this is the best thing I've ever saw."
