Joy Justin is a native Oklahoman, who grew up in LeFore County, Oklahoma.  She has traveled extensively throughout the United States, including Alaska, and parts of Asia.   Throughout her life, Joy has always had a love for the American Indian.   Though her Cherokee heritage was taken off of the role, this has compelled her to use her creative talents to capture their beauty, and way of life through her sculptures.   Each collectable piece, carefully molded with her fingertips, is of the Ancient Art of Raku and carries its own name plate.

Joy enjoys creating on canvas and while she's partial to her Indian art, she has a variety of southwestern and wildlife pieces.  She currently lives with her husband Robert on their "BJB" Paint Horse Farm in Bokoshe, Oklahoma where she spends time raising their registered black and white paint horses..  Her favorite moments and what she loves best is being in her studio and gallery named after her forth generation Grandmother "MAHALA," who is thought to have been of Cherokee descent.  Joy is sharing her love of art with her five small grandchildren.  She hopes that they too, will carry on in keeping the Spirit of the American Indian alive through their own art.
