I am a 'self taught' metal smith working in mixed metals. It is my belief that I am an
instrument in the creation of art firmly rooted in the past, yet speaking to today's
Catholics/Christians. The saint pins I create reflect 'Holy Medals' from the past. The
same is true of all my other artwork, crosses, processional crosses and Eucharistic
pieces. It is my hope that my work awakens or enriches the spiritual nature in all of us,
remembering that every piece I make is to glorify the father.
Pieces may be found in private collections throughout the US and Europe

expanded for publication. It includes some 200 original pictures, newspaper clippings,

Tulsa Race Riot. It is the only publication on that riot which shows the documents from
which the text is transcribed for easier reading.

Skrimerhorn Art is a new form of art that I created by combining scrimshaw, ink colors and paint to enhance and accent by using the colors of the horn to create the work of art. Skrimerhorn is a word that I have coined for working with the cow horn. All of my work is hand carved using knives, needles and files. Each piece is original and authentic. |
