Welcome to Southern Oaks Resort. Here you will find a relaxing atmosphere where the rustle of the wind and beauty of nature will take you on a journey away from everyday stress. Our accommodations provide many different reasons to stay with us. We have cub cabins that are for two, Cottages and Honey Moon Cabin sleeps four comfortable, and the Resort Family Cabin and Deluxe Family Cabin sleeps six. We are located just minutes from Grand Lake, in Langley OK. Southern Oaks Resort is the closest resort to the lake. Grand Lake is known by the locals for fishing, boating, parasailing and nature trails. Grand Lake is also home to Pensacola Dam. Pensacola Dam is the largest multi arch dam in the world. Spanning over 51 arches the dam is 5,145 feet long. There are 21 floodgates on the main spillway.

On site, we have a full size basketball court, picnic areas, fire pits, horseshoes, and a newly renovated game room with arcade games and pool table. Also new for 2010 is our 31x36 salt water pool. With the addition of the pool we added over 3000 sq. feet of patio area, with plenty of lounge chairs, tables, and pool side chairs. Still looking for more to do? Sixshooter Resort is located in eastern Oklahoma in the tree covered foothills of the Oarks. The Marina is nestled in a beautiful cove on the east side of Lake Tenkiller.

Memorial Day Cooksons cottage and boats

Located in the foothills of the Oklahoma Ozarks, at Beautiful Lake Tenkiller in the heart of the Cookson Hills. (We are also in Cherokee County which yields one of the largest deer harvest in Oklahoma)

The Cookson Cottage opened in May of 2006. The owners are Tony and Debra Starr. The Starrs moved to Cookson in 1997 and fell in love with the lake life. So much, they think everyone should come and enjoy this, at least for a little while. Cookson Cottage now invites you to come and stay for a weekend getaway or a week-long vacation.

The tree-house cottage is furnished with everything we think you might need. Big fluffy towels, linens, extra pillows, pots and pans, cookware, dishes, charcoal grill, color t.v. with dvd player, really too much to mention all, but as we say " everything "we think you might need. Did I mention jacuzzi hot tub??

This house has three spacious bedrooms, two full size beds and one king size, a full size sleeper sofa and will sleep 6-8 people. Two roomy bathrooms, one has tub/shower and the other shower only. The large kitchen is fully functional with refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and all the pots, pans and utensils needed to cook your favorite meal. Dishes and silverware allow you to serve your guests. Washer and dryer are also available and towels and linens will be provided for our guests. Dish Network basic television service is also available with VCR. We offer RV, primitive camping and a house rental adjacent to the ATV trail leading into the city of Waynoka.

This state park contains 790 acres of forest and wildlife, and was named for the "boiling" appearance of the water as it bubbled up through the sand.
