One can see evidence of the historic Sante Fe Trail nearby and the state's highest spot is just a few miles northwest at spectacular Black Mesa State Park. Also in Boise City: Bomb Memorial, Cimarron Heritage Center Museum. Nearby: Dinosaur Tracks and Autograph Rock.
