There are four parks on Arcadia Lake. Edmond Park and Central State Park are east of  I-35 on 2nd Street. Scissortail

Campground and Spring Creek Park are east of I-35 on 15th Street in Edmond. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 10 full hookups, 55 electric/water hookups, 39 primitive sites, 2 restrooms/showers, 30 pull-throughs, 2 sanitary dump stations, outdoor grills, picnic areas, 3 double boat ramps, 3 docks.   This lake impounds 1,820 acres of water on the Deep Fork River in central Oklahoma.  Day Use Daily entry Monday through Thursday is $6.00 Daily entry Fri, Sat, Sun and Holidays is 7.00

Camping prices are from 10.00 to 25.00  (Prices are subject to change without notice to Shop Oklahoma)

• Primitive is 10.00 weekdays, 15.00 on Fri, Sat, Sun and Holidays Available in Central State Park and Edmond Park
• Reg. hookup (has electric) 15.00 weekdays, 20.00 on Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Holidays - Includes electrical outlets and community showers. Available in Central State Park and Scissortail Campground
• Full hookup $20.00 during the week, and 25.00 on Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Holidays - Includes all of the above, plus water and sewage. Available in Central State Park.
• Pedestrian prices are $2.00 Monday - Thursday  & $3.00 Friday, Saturday, Sundays and holidays.

Campsites include a picnic table, utility table, charcoal grill, fire ring and access to community water restrooms.

No more than two camping units of any kind are allowed per campsite. All campers must register with the park attendant, Do not occupy a site until you have a valid permit. Check out with the attendant when you have finished camping.

All moneys collected are applied to the operation and maintenance of the Lake facilities. It is our commitment to continue to provide a quality recreational area.

Arcadia Lake is open year-round for boating, camping,  fishing,  swimming, hiking,  picnicking,  water skiing, mountain biking and disc golf, with four parks surrounding the lake.  

Picnic Sites, Picnic Pavilions available to rent for Family Reunions or Company Picnics.  We do not supply training or equipment.

Approximately 3 Miles East of I-35 on Route 66

Arcadia Lake lies completely within the limits of Oklahoma City and Edmond in northeast Oklahoma County. The natural environment around the lake has been preserved as much as possible to provide a country/woodland atmosphere in the metropolitan area. Each year, more than one million visitors enjoy a wide variety of water-oriented recreation on hundreds of acres. Shoreline length-26 miles.

ARCADIA LAKE TRAILS

  Arcadia Lake has excellent opportunities for those who like to go mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding. Totaling 17 miles of beautiful landscape and scenery, there’s plenty of room for such usages. All trails are open from sunrise to sunset, seven days a week, so recreational opportunities are greater than ever! Aside from our exquisite trails, there is much to do at Arcadia Lake.

Multiple-Use Trail

  The multiple use trail, the one most often used, is approximately 8.5 miles one way from the Project Office, which is located at 9000 East 2^nd Street, to Spring Creek Park, which is located at 7200 South East 15^th Street. The Arcadia Lake multiple-use trail was designed to be used by mountain bicyclists, though hikers, cross country runners, and nature walkers, also use the trail. This multiple-use trail is a single dirt track with added bridges and water crossings. During the rainy seasons some parts of the trail can be impassable.

  Numerous signs are located throughout the multiple-use trail indicating direction. These signs also designate the main and alternate trails.  These trails eventually connect and end at the trail- heads. A white arrow indicates the main trails, and a yellow arrow indicates alternate trails or routes.

  A twisting and winding trail, the Multiple-Use Trail is used for any season of the year, especially during the winter. During the summer, the best time to ride is after some rain, due to some sandy areas of the trail.

Equestrian Trail

  The Equestrian Trail is open to those who choose to ride on horseback. This trail is especially made for horseback riding and nothing else. This trail is shaded with many surrounding trees, wildlife, and soft breezes. Horse trailer parking is available at 33^rd Street and Air Depot.  This parking lot is at the middle of the trail; one can ride either direction.  Many riders enjoy this trail because it is beautiful, secluded, and a scenic route. This trail is approximately 6 miles.  Annual passes for this trail can be purchased at the Project Office or any fee collection station.

 Nature Hiking Trail

  The Hiking Trail is designed with several steep challenges and pavement changes that gives a good workout. With its twist’s and turn’s it would send anyone out for a full day of beautiful trails and something to look forward to.

Rules and Regulations of the Trails

1. All trails are open from sunrise to sunset, seven days a week.

2. Each person must pay the appropriate entry fee

3. No pedestrians or bicycles allowed on the equestrian trail

4. No motorized vehicles are allowed on ANY trail.

5. No fires allowed on any trail.

6. No littering

7. Stay on designated trail at all times.

8. Park vehicles and horse trailers in designated areas provided by the park officials.

9.  Do not disturb wildlife or livestock.

10. Yield the right of way to other non-motorized recreationists.

11. Use caution when overtaking another, and make your presence known well in advance.

Park Rules

These rules and regulations are provided to insure the safety of all visitors at Arcadia Lake. We hope you enjoy your stay!

1. Glass containers are prohibited.
2. Swim beaches are closed from sunset to sunrise.
3. Swimming is allowed only in designated areas.
4. Persons under age 13 must wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation device or proper size and fit when in the water.
5. Diving is prohibited.
6. Fires are allowed only in designated areas.
7. Firearms, fireworks, BB guns, air rifles and explosives are prohibited.
8. All pets must be penned, caged or kept on a leash no longer than six feet.
9. Pets are prohibited in swimming areas, beaches and playgrounds.
10. Drivers must obey speed limit and warning signs.
11. Vehicles must remain on paved surfaces at all times and may be parked only in designated areas.
12. All vehicles must be street legal to be operated in the park area.
13. Camping is permitted only on the numbered sites in designated areas.
14. Check out time for campers is 5:00 p.m.
15. Skiing is allowed only in designated areas.
16. Watercraft may be carried to the shore or may be launched from designated areas.
17. Personal watercraft (jet skis, wave runners etc.) may be used only in designated areas. No towing.

Programs and Events

The Water Slide at Edmond Park Beach

100 feet of wet and wild fun! Slide down this huge slippery slope covered with visqueen into a cool puddle of water. The cost is only $0.25 per ride, or unlimited rides for just $3. The Water Slide will be open on  Saturdays 2pm-6pm, at Edmond Park Beach.

Description:        Dress warm and bring your binoculars.  Begin at the Arcadia Lake Project Office, 9000 E 2^nd Street (located approx. 3 ½ miles east of I-35 on Route 66) to receive information about where the eagles are roosting.  The Project office will have hot drinks for sale, a raptor wingspan display, and an eagle video that plays continuously.

Description:         Location: Central State Park - Creek Pavilion

Dutch oven and other outdoor cooking methods will be taught.  Proper care, use, clean-up and storage of Dutch ovens will be demonstrated.  Participants will prepare and cook a variety of delicious Dutch oven recipes and sample each dish.  Reservation only: must be made by April 15, 2003.

Event:                  Kids All-American Fishing Derby

Description:         Kids age 5 – 15 may enter this free event on Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Spring Creek Park (located approx. 2 ½ miles east of I-35 on Edmond’s SE 15^th Street).  Kids start fishing at 8am.   Final weigh-in is 11am.  Prizes are awarded at noon.  Bring bait, fishing equipment, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and lawn chair.  Concessions and worms will be for sale at the event site.  Kids may register at 7:30am.  Parents must accompany children.

Description:         This Arcadia Lake clean-up event will be held Saturday, August 16, 2003, 9am – 12 noon, Spring Creek Park (located approx. 2 ½ miles east of I-35 on Edmond’s SE 15^th Street).  Participants will receive a t-shirt and hot dog lunch.  Please bring your own gloves.  Trash bags and clean-up assignments are given at registration table.

Event:                  Agony at Arcadia Lake

Date:                    Oct. 16-18 and Oct. 23-31, 2004

Time:                   Adults:  Dark – Midnight  (times may change)

Description:         Dare to walk THESE woods in the dark!  This fun event is held in Spring Creek Park (located approx. 2 ½ miles east of I-35 on Edmond’s SE 15^th Street).  .  Only the bold and brave should attend Agony After Dark.  There are hidden dangers and frightening surprises for mature audiences every night from Dark – midnight.  Cost is $8.00 per person.
